How Do I Create a Strong Application?
Here are tips to create a strong GradSift profile and application.
Firstly, complete all the required information. That especially applies to your profile.
For educational qualifications post-high school, you can add up to three of your most recent (or relevant).
When it comes to grades, GradSift uses a 100 point scale. If your institution uses a different scale make sure to convert it. See below. Some courses are simply graded as Pass. In that case use 75+.
If you're just starting a course and have no grades yet, just select what you expect to achieve.

0 -100 scale | 7 point scale | 4 point scale |
75+ | 6.0+ | 3.0+ |
70 – 74.9 | 5.5 – 5.9 | 2.5 – 2.9 |
65 – 69.9 | 5.0 – 5.4 | 2.0 – 2.4 |
60 – 64.9 | 4.5 – 4.9 | 1.7 – 1.9 |
55 – 59.9 | 4.0 – 4.4 | 1.4 – 1.6 |
50 – 54.9 | 3.0 – 3.9 | 1.0 – 1.3 |
Work experience does not need to be career related. For example, working at McDonalds in customer service. That's still valued by employers. You can list up to three experiences.
Similarly, interests don't need to relate to a field of study. If you play music, sports, blog, volunteer for a community group, provide carer services or have a hobby (eg. restoring old cars), include them. It helps employers get a fuller picture of who you are.
Make sure to upload your documents AND then link them to the employer.
If the employer has asked you to record a video, it will substantially enhance your application by uploading it. Hiring Managers, especially like to see the candidate videos.
If the employer has asked you to nominate role preferences or to answer screening questions, do it.
GradSift is designed so that employers set their own selection criteria for each role. Some roles may require a university degree. Others may not require any. The point is that GradSift assesses applicants differently for each role and by each employer.
