How the GradSift Algorithm Works

GradSift uses ai technology to provide a ranking of strong, well-rounded candidates after evaluating their full background for a balanced and integrated assessment. It assesses a candidate the same way an experienced graduate recruiter would.

It interprets applicant data from academic performance, work experiences and extra-curriculars to assess achievements, behavioural skills and relevance of candidate experiences. It provides a visual representation of their background for a hiring manager to choose who to shortlist.

What does Gradsift evaluate?
Academics: University(ies), discipline(s) studied, degree level, grades etc.
Work Experience: Both career and non-career related work experiences, the job level, job function and the relevance of that experience to the employer. As an example, an applicant who has completed an internship in their field of study is good. So too is an applicant who is a Team Leader at a supermarket or fast food store because it demonstrates leadership.
Extra-Curricular Achievements: Activities that a candidate has been involved in, ranging from student leadership roles, to sports/cultural participation, community volunteer roles to overseas exchange experiences.
GradSift presents candidate data with an equal weighting across the three background elements.

Some hiring managers may place greater value on certain candidate traits. For example, academic background may be considered as more important that extra-curricular achievements. Or they look for solid work experience.

Hiring managers use the data to decide who to interview / shortlist.

Note, GradSift does NOT evaluate candidate video.
