Create a Search Profile
GradSift uses a Search Profile to apply your selection criteria along with GradSift's own assessment of an applicant's background to provide the screened and ranked results of your applicants.
You can create a Search Profile at any time. It can be before or after applicants complete their profiles. You can create a copy of a search profile by selecting the "double window" icon. You can also edit (pencil icon) a Search Profile to view the new results.
The Search Profile
From the Program page select the "Magnifying" icon then "CREATE SEARCH PROFILE".
The name of the Search Profile is not visible to applicants.
Location of roles, where you will recruit from and working rights
Applicants who do not meet your selections will not display in the search profile results.
Education
Choose the educational institutions appropriate for your role. To select any university (from around the world) add ANY UNIVERSITY. This will auto populate.
You could also select only Australian Universities and/or New Zealand Universities.
For a role that accepts College or Technical (TAFE) level add those.
You can have multiple selections. For example, Any Universities plus College. You can also select by individual institution.
You can also give Preference to institutions. The Gradsift algorithm gives a boost to the scores of those applicants.
Discipline
Select the Disciplines and sub-disciplines you will consider for the role. You can have any number and you can apply preferences.
Note, sub-disciplines can sit within a discipline different to some university faculties. For example, Data Science falls under Science in GradSift. So review each of the Disciplines to include the relevant sub-disciplines.
Note, applicants who do not meet your sub-discipline selections will not display in the search profile results. If your role requires a more general background, it's recommended to include more sub-disciplines.
Grade Bands
Add all grade bands you will consider. Note, "non-graded" should be included.
GradSift uses a 100 point scale.
50 - 54.9 is the lowest pass score
55 - 59.9
60 - 64.9 is a strong pass
65 and above reflects strong academic results
High School Completion
For applicants, answering this question is optional. We recommend leaving this as ANY.
Degree/Course Completion
This will be relevant for graduate or intern programs but less for some other roles.
Note: All of the above selections will filter out applicants who don't meet your selections
Employment Sector
Add the sector(s) your organisation operates in.
Add (multiple) sector(s) that are relevant to you role/organisation. For example, you may be a financial services company recruiting for a software developer. Include ICT type sectors as relevant.
GradSift's algorithm looks up an applicant's work experiences and non-work interests and if they have exposure to any of the selected employer sectors, this boosts their scores. It does NOT filter out applicants without that exposure.
Size of Organisation
Approximate staffing size of your organisation. (This does not filter out applicants).
Job Function
You can select one or multiple job functions for your role. Again, applicants who already have experience in this function will receive a boost. Those who do not, are NOT filtered out.
Exclude Applicants by Status
If you are using the applicant status function, you can filter out applicants by the status. For example you may have set applicant status '9' as unsuccessful. To remove those applicants from displaying in the search profile results you would select exclude applicant status '9'.
English Language
For applicants whose first language is not English, many (typically university students) are required to complete an IELTS English language test. A score of 6.0 is a minimum, basic pass. Generally, a score of 7.0 or higher is considered good.
You can filter search profile resullts by selecting the minimum score you will accept.
