Using Multiple Filters and Applicant Status

How to Use Multiple Filters and Applicant Status

There are different ways to use filters. Remember you start with applicants who meet your minimum criteria.

Step 1.

If you have Screening Questions, select the “unsuccessful”response for the first question and APPLY FILTERS. In the Status field, assign those applicants as ‘9’ Ineligible (or the status number you’ve created). SAVE. Repeat for the remaining Questions. If in the Search Profile set up you chose to exclude applicants with a Status ‘9’, they will no longer display when you CLEAR FILTERS. They will no longer display for any Search Profile result.

Step 2.

Apply Preferences. Filter on your preference choice (first, any etc), selecting that and APPLY FILTERS. This reduces the number of applicants. You can choose to review each of those applicants and decide who to SAVE to the shortlist.

Or select, for example, the top 50 and check and SAVE to theshortlist. CLEAR FILTERS will now display 50 checked and the balance unchecked.

Step 3.

Apply the relevant Optional Filters one by one. For example, select ‘Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people” will display those applicants (checked or unchecked). If an applicant displayed who was not in the shortlist, check the box and SAVE to add. CLEAR FILTERS you will now see 51applicants saved.

Repeat for each Filter.

Of course you can apply multiple filters together.

Update Applicant Status

If you use the applicant status function, this is where you identify applicants as Shortlisted, Not Suitable, or Back Up, depending on yourconfiguration.

Remember, the applicant status applies to ALL seach profile roles. For example, assigning status '5' Shortlist to an applicant will carry across for any role where they meet the criteria. If the applicant doesn't meet the selection criteria for a role, they will not display in the available applicants (despite having status 5).

If an applicant displays in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronic Engineering roles, you can choose to shortlist them in only one eg. Mechanical Engineering, by checking the box and SAVE to the shortlist. Even though their status is '5' Shortlist, they will NOT display in the Mechantronic Engineering shortlist unless you check the box and SAVE.

When an applicant is shortlisted for more than one role, the system creates an alert message, where you can choose to keep them in all shortlists or decide which shortlist to reatin them.
